COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY The Trumbull County Historical Society owns and operates the John Stark Edwards House and Museum at 303 Monroe Street, NW, in Warren. Built in 1807, it is the oldest home in Trumbull County. Several rooms in the Edwards House depict the lives of its residents at various periods, from pioneer days to the late nineteenth century. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The Society is an all-volunteer organization whose members have an interest in the history of Trumbull County and the Connecticut Western Reserve. The Society was chartered as a not for profit corporation by the State of Ohio in 1938. The U.S. Internal Revenue Service designated the Society a 501 (c) (3) organization in 1986.
